Fair Grounds: Napravnik all right after spill

Email

Fair Grounds' leading rider Rosie Napravnik didn't suffer any significant injuries in a spill at the start of Friday's second race. Napravnik was thrown to the ground when her mount, Repute, reared at the start, and took off the remainder of her mounts Friday. But Napravnik's agent, Derek Ducoing, said Napravnik had emerged from the accident relatively unscathed.

"She went to the doctor, and she's fine," Ducoing said.

Napravnik, according to her agent, will work horses Saturday morning in New Orleans and return to race-riding Saturday afternoon.
