While I spent about 16 hours finding negatives/digital images for this In Memoriam blog, I know I missed countless horses. I never saw most of the Thoroughbreds who died last year and, in other cases, some horses' photos eluded me.  Please include additional names in the comments' section....and if I can find photos, I'll add them.

With thanks to every Thoroughbred remembered above, as well as to those not shown here, for all that they gave to our sport.

Barbara: Thank you once again for creating this space of remembrance as 2013 draws to a close. Although I doubt you have their photos, I would add the loss of two Canadian champions: NIPISSING (2010) by Nigon ex. Kiche (Dixieland Band) -- winner of 5 of 9 starts, including the Woodbine Oaks -- and 2012 Queen's Plate winner, STRAIT OF DOVER (2009) by English Channel ex. Bahrain Star (Danzig). Also, would you consider adding MENTOR CANE -- I remember your beautiful photos of him from earlier this year. The very best to you and yours at Christmas and throughout the New Year, from your hugest fan in Montreal, Canada.

Barbara thank you for reminding me how special all of the gallant horses are! These were mostly stakes horses, I hope the cheap claimers can be just as appreciated. Thank u again for this trip down memory lane

Thank you so much for including our beloved "ladies." You know, no matter how old they are, when a thoroughbred passes, she/he leaves a huge hole in their wake.
