Migliore, who has been represented by Mike Sellito for the past 4 1/2 years, said one of the reasons behind the change came as a result of the time Sellito was spending at his Florida home.

Migliore spent the last three winters riding at Gulfstream Park, but decided to stay at Aqueduct this winter so he could be with his wife and four children.

Amelia gets up in Genter

MIAMI - Take her to the outside and hope she gets up in time. That was the strategy trainer Shug McGaughey laid out for Amelia in Saturday's $100,000 Frances A. She outfinished a hedge-hugging Sara's Success by a neck in the 7 1/2-furlong turf race for 3-year-old fillies.

Give Calder shippers an edge

OLDSMAR, Fla. - When horseplayers start handicapping Tampa Bay Downs cards in these opening days of the race meeting, the difference between profit and loss could well boil down to how they treat horses who have been running at Calder Race Course.

History shows that in the first month or so of a meeting, horses coming up from Calder win more than horses who have been racing at any other track.
