The Group 2, $250,000 Al Fahidi Fort, which marks the Dubai debut of the highly regarded South African colt Noah From Goa, headlines the Thursday card at Meydan Racecourse in Dubai.
The Al Fahidi Fort, contested over 1,400 meters (about seven furlongs) on turf, is the fifth of seven races on a card that also includes the UAE 1000 Guineas Trial for 3-year-old fillies. First post is 9:30 a.m. Eastern, while the feature goes at 12:25 p.m. Wagering and a live video feed is available at bets.drf.com.

Jolly Banner, unbeaten in three starts during the current Hong Kong season, is the 133-pound top weight in Saturday’s $225,684 Beas River Handicap for turf sprinters at Sha Tin Racecourse.
Jolly Banner, a 5-year-old Australian-bred gelding, will break from post 11 in a field of 12 and is well-suited to the race distance of seven furlongs on turf. Jolly Banner won seven-furlong handicaps on turf at Sha Tin on Oct. 8, Nov. 6, and Nov. 27. In each race, Jolly Banner stalked the pace and won by more than a length.

It can seem, at times, that winter after winter you’re watching the same horses run around the Meydan Racecourse oval in Dubai. And in the case of Reynaldothewizard, you are.
Reynaldothewizard is one of seven horses entered in the co-featured Dubawi Stakes on the eight-race Thursday card at Meydan. The gelding is 11 years old. An American-bred by Speightstown, he made his career debut during the summer of 2008 at Churchill Downs. This, remarkably, is his seventh season racing in Dubai, and even last year, as a 10-year-old, he was pretty good.
