Saturday was an active day as a slew of Derby and Oaks hopefuls put in official workouts including Normandy Invasion and Todd Pletcher trainees Revolutionary, Verrazano, Palace Malice and Overanalyze.
Derby and Oaks hopefuls, including Vyjack, Orb, Rose to Gold, Balance of Power and Falling Sky, were back on the track at Churchill putting in official workouts on Friday.
Cooler temperatures greeted horses stabled at Churchill Downs on Thursday, though none of the Derby hopefuls turned in an offical workout, several got in their regular gallops including Java's War, Revolutionary, Falling Sky and Vyjack. Meanwhile Goldencents breezed at Santa Anita Park in California.
Several horses starting their training early because of rain, even though there were no official workouts on Wednesday. Overanalyze, Palace Malice, Revolutionary, Unlimited Budget, Verrazano and Rose to Gold were among the Derby/Oaks hopefuls to test out the muddy track.
