Remington Park track report

George Taylor, who won five races during the Remington meet, has earned four championship titles from the track. He was voted horse of the meet, champion older male, champion Oklahoma-bred, and champion claimer. It was an outstanding season for George Taylor, whose biggest victory came in the $75,000 Oklahoma Classics Day Classic.

He is owned by his breeder, Rash Barrett, and is trained by Ricky Gustafson. Nena Matz was aboard for each of George Taylor's wins at Remington.

Roger Engel won his first Remington training title by one victory over the track's 11-time title-winner, Donnie Von Hemel. Engel led the standings from the start of the meet, but found himself in a tie with Von Hemel heading into the final card. Engel broke the tie when he won the next-to-last race at Remington. Engel won 36 races from just 92 starters and had stable earnings of $202,625. Von Hemel's barn earned a meet-best $406,724.

The leading owner at the meet was Gary Owens, who also captured the title in 2003.
