Belmont: $104K pick six carryover into Sunday's card

David Grening|Sep 09, 2017

ELMONT, N.Y. – Two days into the 36-day Belmont Park fall meet and no one has able to hit the pick six yet.

Thus, there will be a carryover of $104,773 heading into Sunday's 10-race card.

The pick six will start in race 5, (3:36 p.m. eastern) and include four turf races including the $100,000 Allied Forces for 3-year-olds at six furlongs.

There was a $24,407 carryover heading into Saturday's card after no one hit the wager on Friday.

Queen of Spades ($46.80) upset race 7, the second leg of the wager, but still half the field had a live ticket to it entering Saturday's 10th race.

The carryover was assured when 16-1 shot Outrageous Bet ($34) ran down fellow 16-1 shot Colonel Andy in the finale.

Those playing Sunday's sequence may lean heavy on Big Handsome in the Allied Forces and Jamyson 'n Ginger in race 9, a first-level allowance on dirt going a one-turn mile. Jamyson n' Ginger, second in last year's Grade 2 Demoiselle at Aqueduct, will be making her first start for trainer Chad Brown following a private purchase by Juddmonte Farms earlier in the year.
