Founded in 1863, Saratoga Race Course holds the distinction of being one of the oldest Thoroughbred racetracks in the United States. Nestled in the heart of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., this iconic venue boasts a rich history. The grandstand’s distinctive architecture, featuring white pillars and sweeping verandas, adds to the venue’s charm and character.

The Travers Stakes, dubbed the “Midsummer Derby,” is the centerpiece of Saratoga’s racing calendar. The Whitney Handicap, Alabama Stakes, and Hopeful Stakes are among the other marquee events that grace Saratoga’s rich summer schedule.

Saratoga Race Course has witnessed its share of historic moments and celebrity sightings over the years. From the performances of horses like Man o’ War and Secretariat to the presence of notable figures such as the Vanderbilts and Whitneys, Saratoga’s grandstands have hosted countless unforgettable moments.
