On Friday, Unstable Genius had his work cut out for him turning for home. Grand Manalishi (Tyler Jones) had led the field of eight through fractions of 27 1/5, 56 3/5 and 1:25 2/5. Unstable Genius was fourth, 3 1/2 length off the lead turning for home. MacDonald not only had to avoid some breakers and shoot up the inside, but he also had to hold off a wall of three other horses at the wire. Kountry Cantab (Trevor Henry) was third, followed by Detonater Hanover (Tyler Moore) and Grand Manalishi.
The Adios Eve features at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows were divisions of the Arden Downs for 2-year-old trotters of both sexes. Three of the winners were sired by Captain Corey, two were driven by Ronnie Wrenn Jr. and a pair were trained by Norm Parker for owners Bart and Todd Brice.
