LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Florida Derby winner Take Charge Indy came out of his 19th-place finish in Saturday’s Kentucky Derby with a chip in his left front ankle and will miss the major summer races, trainer Pat Byrne said Sunday morning.

Byrne said Take Charge Indy would undergo surgery early this week to have the chip removed. After 60 days of inactivity, Take Charge Indy will resume training, and Byrne hopes to get the horse back for a fall campaign.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Paul Reddam named I'll Have Another for his nightly reply when his wife, Zillah, asks him if he'd like another cookie. He got the sweetest treat of all on Saturday, when his colt I'll Have Another scored a 15-1 upset in the 138th Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, giving trainer Doug O'Neill and rookie jockey Mario Gutierrez, as well as Reddam, their first Derby victories.

Ted's Folly, who spent some time on the Kentucky Derby trail in January and February after winning six consecutive races at 2, made a successful return to action Saturday at Will Rogers Downs. He cruised to a 7 1/2-length win in the $55,000 colts and geldings division of the Oklahoma Stallion Stakes, which was one of two restricted stakes on the card. In the $55,000 fillies division of the Oklahoma Stallion Stakes, Ocean Ahumin ($28) upset favorite Jealous Ellis.
