She’s All scat, with Jose Caraballo riding, wins the Gin Talking.

She's All Scat was headed in midstretch but came back to win the $100,000 Gin Talking at Laurel Park on Saturday.

She's All Scat was hustled away from the gate in the seven-furlong event and led to midstretch. Ek Haseena put a head in front from the outside and jockey Jose Caraballo knew what to do.

"The other horse came up to us and began to go past. I had to ask her to come on again, and she did it." said Caraballo.

She's All Scat had a final margin of victory of 1 1/2 lengths over her nine 2-year-old opponents.

MIAMI – Twilight Eclipse and Mucho Mas Macho were not only the lone 3-year-olds in the field for Saturday’s $150,000 W.L. McKnight Handicap at Calder, they were the only two members of the lineup who had never tried the 1 1/2-mile distance of the Grade 2 event.  But neither factor mattered much in the end.

Aqueduct: Overanalyze gets gritty Remsen win

Barbara D. Livingston
Overanalyze, with Ramon Dominguez riding, is a nose in front of Normandy Invasion at the Remsen finish.

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - With a furlong remaining in Saturday's Grade 2 Remsen Stakes at Aqueduct, owner Mike Repole was resigned to the fact his 2-year-old colt Overanalyze was probably not going to win.

"At the eighth pole, I would have said we will get third place by about two lengths," Repole said. "I didn't think we had a shot."

But on a day when everything went right for Repole, Overanalyze found something in reserve, and despite giving up the lead to Normandy Invasion in deep stretch, he came back to nip that rival and win the $250,000 Remsen by a nose.

Fair Grounds: Jones's power duo returning to the scene

NEW ORLEANS – Believe You Can was the best 3-year-old filly stabled at Fair Grounds last winter and went from New Orleans on to a win in the Kentucky Oaks. Mark Valeski probably was the best 3-year-old colt here last season, and went from a tough defeat in the Louisiana Derby on to win the Grade 2 Peter Pan at Belmont. Believe You Can arrived at Fair Grounds from Kentucky on Thursday, Mark Valeski gets here this week, and trainer Larry Jones is hoping both horses will once again assume a position of prominence during the Fair Grounds meeting.
