Grade 2 winner Fast Bullet has been retired from racing and will stand the 2014 breeding season at Ben Walden Jr.’s Pauls Mill in Versailles, Ky., for an advertised fee of $7,500.

The 5-year-old son of Speightstown finishes his career with four wins in seven career starts for earnings of $330,334, highlighted by a victory in the Grade 2 True North Handicap in 2013. He was campaigned by Zayat Stables, and trained for the majority of his career for Bob Baffert before finishing his career in the barn of D. Wayne Lukas.

Preakness Stakes winner Oxbow will stand for an introductory fee of $20,000 to lead the Taylor Made Stallions roster for 2014.

The millionaire Awesome Again colt, who also finished second in this year’s Belmont Stakes, is one of two Grade 1 winners new to the Nicholasville, Ky., farm’s roster for 2014, along with Graydar.

Woodford Thoroughbreds in Reddick, Fla., has released the 2014 fees for its stallion roster, highlighted by a pair of new additions.

Grade 2 winner Soldat will stand his debut season for a fee of $5,000. The 5-year-old son of War Front finished his career with four wins in 12 career starts for earnings of $622,760, highlighted by wins in the Grade 2 Fountain of Youth Stakes on dirt and the Grade 3 With Anticipation Stakes on turf, as well as a runner-up effort in the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.

Champion Leroidesanimaux will stand for an introductory fee of 17,500 pounds, or about $28,135, in his first season at Lanwades Stud in Newmarket, England.

The 13-year-old Candy Stripes horse, sire of champion Animal Kingdom, most recently stood at HallMarc Stallions in Ocala, Fla., for a fee of $25,000.

Margaux Farm has purchased an additional 320 acres adjoining its current property located in Midway, Ky., and plans to expand its operations.

Plans for the new tract of land include the addition of a seven-furlong straight synthetic breeze track, construction of additional training and lay-up barns, and developing a new broodmare and yearling division on the farm operated by principals Jim and Susan Hill, Dr. Joseph Fowler and his wife, Lynn, and Steve and Shelley Johnson.

Frank Stronach’s Adena Springs Kentucky in Paris, Ky. has released the 2014 fees for its nine-horse stallion roster, and a pair of its leading residents received increases.

Grade 1 winner Graydar has been retired from racing, and will stand the 2014 breeding season at Taylor Made Stallions in Nicholasville, Ky. for an advertised fee of $15,000.

The 4-year-old son of Unbridled’s Song had compiled a perfect three-for-three record in 2013, and was headed toward a start in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile, but a quarter crack pulled him from the race. His final start came in the Grade 2 Kelso Handicap on Sept. 28 at Belmont Park, which he won by 1 3/4 lengths.

Alternation, a multiple graded stakes-winning millionaire who retired to Pin Oak Stud in September, will stand for a $7,500 fee in 2014, the Versailles, Ky., farm announced Thursday.

In addition, Pin Oak released its stud fees for its other stallions, with all fees at the farm on a stands-and-nurses basis. Broken Vow and Sky Classic will stand for $25,000 and $7,500, respectively, in 2014, the same fees as 2013. Cowboy Cal’s 2014 fee is reduced from $7,500 to $5,000.

Jazil, winner of the 2006 Belmont Stakes, will stand the 2014 breeding season at Haras La Orlyana in Venezuela, BloodHorse reports.

The 10-year-old son of Seeking the Gold had previously stood at Shadwell Farm in Lexington, Ky. since his debut at stud in 2008, and relocates to Venezuela on a lease agreement with the farm. While Venezuela is in South America, the country is located above the Equator, meaning its breeding program operates on the Northern Hemisphere schedule.

Gainesway in Lexington, Ky., released its stud fees for the 2014 breeding season, led by Tapit, whose fee will increase from $125,000 to $150,000.

The Grade 1-winning 12-year-old son of Pulpit is represented by 123 winners this year through Nov. 6, including 11 stakes winners. Among his leading runners of 2013 are Grade 1 winners Joyful Victory, Grade 2 winners Honorable Dillon, Untapable, and Flashback, and Wood Memorial runner-up Normandy Invasion. He is also the sire of champions Stardom Bound and Hansen.

A pair of Gainesway stallions will stand for lower fees in 2014.
