Santiva relocates to Questroyal North in New York

Grade 2 winner Santiva will relocate to Questroyal North in Stillwater, N.Y., for the 2015 breeding season, where he will stand for an advertised fee of $2,500.

The 5-year-old son of Giant’s Causeway stood at Swifty Farms in Seymour, Ind., during the 2014 season. His first foals will be yearlings of 2015.

“We are thrilled to welcome Santiva, who will be a most valuable addition to the Questroyal stallion roster,” said Barry Ostrager, owner of Questroyal North. “New York breeders will now have the opportunity to breed to one of Giant’s Causeway’s most precocious sons.”

Mr. Sidney to Walmac Farm in Kentucky

Grade 1 winner Mr. Sidney will relocate to Walmac Farm in Lexington, Ky., for the 2015 breeding season, where he will stand for an advertised fee of $6,500.

The 10-year-old son of Storm Cat previously stood at Alec Head’s Haras du Quesnay in France, where he was advertised for about $6,200 in 2014 (5,000 Euros). His first crop of foals are 3-year-olds this year.

Taylor Made Stallions announces 2015 fees

Taylor Made Stallions in Nicholasville, Ky., has released the advertised 2015 fees for its five-horse stallion roster.

The group is led by Eskendereya, whose fee will remain unchanged at $17,500. The 7-year-old son of Giant’s Causeway was represented by his first crop of 2-year-olds in 2014.

Grade 2 winner Old Fashioned will stand for an increased fee of $12,500 after standing the 2014 season for $8,000. An 8-year-old son of Unbridled’s Song, Old Fashioned was represented by Grade 1 winner Fashion Plate this year.

Ashford Stud releases 2015 stud fees

Coolmore’s Ashford Stud has released the advertised stud fees for its 13-horse stallion roster for the 2015 breeding season.

Perennial leading sire Giant’s Causeway once again reigns as the Versailles, Ky., farm’s flagship stallion, with the 17-year-old son of Storm Cat maintaining his fee of $85,000 for a fourth straight year.

I Want Revenge relocates to Millennium Farms

Grade 1 winner I Want Revenge has relocated to stand the 2015 breeding season at Millennium Farms near Lexington, Ky. The 8-year-old son of Stephen Got Even will stand for an advertised fee of $5,000.

I Want Revenge entered stud at Ben Walden Jr. and Elaine Walden’s Pauls Mill Farm, which returned to the stallion business in 2014 but will not stand a roster next year.

He Be Fire N Ice to Rancho San Miguel in California

Grade 2-placed stakes winner He Be Fire N Ice has been retired from racing and will stand the 2015 breeding season at Rancho San Miguel in San Luis Obispo, Calif. for an advertised fee of $2,500.

The 6-year-old son of Unusual Heat finishes his on-track career with five wins in 16 starts for earnings of $332,580, highlighted by a win in the California Dreamin’ Handicap and runner-up finishes in the Grade 2 Del Mar Mile Handicap and City of Hope Mile Stakes.

He Be Fire N Ice saw his most successful season in 2013, when he was owned by Cicero Farms and trained by John Sadler.

Ready’s Image to Calumet Farm for 2015

Grade 2 winner Ready’s Image has been purchased by Brad Kelley’s Calumet Farm, and will stand at the Lexington, Ky., operation in 2015 for an advertised fee of $5,000.

The 9-year-old son of More Than Ready previously stood at Walmac Farm in Lexington, Ky. for the same fee.

Ready’s Image is the sire of three crops of racing age, led by Grade 3 winner I’m Already Sexy, stakes winners Rivers Run Deep, Leinan, and Renee’s Passion, and Grade 2-placed Big Sugar Soda.

Annual TCA stallion season auction to be held in January

Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) will host its 25th annual stallion season auction from Jan. 5 through Jan. 10, 2015, with bids accepted via telephone and online.

The majority of TCA’s seasons will be offered during the telephone and online auction. Online bidding will open at 9 a.m. Eastern on Jan. 5 and continue through 5 p.m. on Jan. 9. Telephone bids will be accepted on Jan. 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Interested bidders may register to bid by visiting TCA's website.

Peintre Celebre pensioned from stud duty in Ireland

Peintre Celebre, the broodmare sire of the top two finishers in Tuesday’s Group 1 Melbourne Cup, has been pensioned from stallion duty at Coolmore’s Castlehyde Stud in Ireland.

The 20-year-old son of Nureyev has sired 14 crops of racing age, with 584 winners and 40 graded/group stakes winners, and combined progeny earnings of over $54 million. Prior to his stallion career, he was named Europe’s Horse of the Year in 1997 on the strength of a campaign that included a victory in the Group 1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

Journeyman Stud releases 2015 stud fees

Journeyman Stud in Ocala, Fla., has released the 2015 stud fees for its nine-horse stallion roster.

Topping the roster is the state’s leading sire Wildcat Heir, a 14-year-old son of Forest Wildcat whose fee will remain at $10,000.

Awesome of Course will see a fee decrease to $5,000 from $7,500, while Hear No Evil’s fee will move to $2,500 from $3,000.
