Gio Ponti to stand for $15,000 in 2015

Castleton Lyons in Lexington, Ky., has released the advertised fees for its two-horse stallion roster.

Leading the duo is three-time Eclipse Award winner Gio Ponti, whose fee will remain unchanged at $15,000. Gio Ponti, a 9-year-old son of Tale of the Cat will be represented by his first crop of 2-year-olds in 2015.

Dutchess Views Farm to stand Big Brown in 2015

Dual classic winner and champion Big Brown will stand his first New York season at Dutchess Views Farm in Pine Plains, N.Y., for an advertised fee of $8,500.

It was announced last week that a majority interest in the 9-year-old Boundary horse had been acquired by Andrew Cohen’s Sunrise Stables and Gary Tolchin’s Golden Goose Enterprises. The team announced intentions to relocate the stallion to New York, but did not reveal the farm until Thursday.

He’s Had Enough retired to Woodford Thoroughbreds

He’s Had Enough, runner-up in the 2012 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, has been retired from racing and will make his stallion debut in 2015 at Woodford Thoroughbreds in Ocala, Fla., for an advertised fee of $5,000.

The 4-year-old son of Tapit finishes his career with one win in 11 career starts for earnings of $492,910. He also placed in the Grade 2 Robert B. Lewis Stakes. Doug O’Neill trained He’s Had Enough for Reddam Racing.

Harlington sold to stand in Saudi Arabia

Harlington, a Grade 2 winner and stallion, was purchased by Saudi Arabian interests on Tuesday at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale, and will stand in that country in 2015.

Bloodstock agent Chad Schumer signed the ticket on the 12-year-old Unbridled horse, who will join Graeme Hall and Stratford Hill among the stallions purchased at the Keeneland November sale that will be headed to Saudi Arabia. All three were sold as part of the dispersal of Eugene Melnyk’s racing and breeding stock, and formerly stood at his Winding Oaks Farm in Ocala, Fla.

Blame to stand for $20,000 in 2015

Claiborne Farm in Paris, Ky. has announced the advertised 2015 stud fee for champion Blame and adjusted the fee for Grade 3 winner Algorithms.

Blame, an 8-year-old son of Arch, will stand for an advertised fee of $20,000 in 2015 after standing the previous season for $30,000. His first crop of foals will be 3-year-olds of 2015.

Claiborne Farm also reduced the fee of Algorithms, whose first foals are weanlings of 2014. The 5-year-old son of Bernardini will stand for $5,000 after initially being advertised at $7,500 for the upcoming breeding season.

Graeme Hall, Stratford Hill sold to stand in Saudi Arabia

Graeme Hall and Stratford Hill, a pair of stallions sold as part of the dispersal of Eugene Melnyk's breeding and racing stock, were purchased by Saudi Arabian interests at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale and will stand in the country in 2015, per bloodstock agent Chad Schumer.

Schumer signed the tickets for both stallions, who were consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, as agent for the Melnyk dispersal.

The 5-year-old son of Lawyer Ron retires with 4 wins in 28 career starts for earnings of $557,022, highlighted by wins in the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity, the Grade 2 San Vicente Stakes, and the Grade 3 Lazaro Barrera Memorial Stakes. He also turned in a runner-up finish in the Grade 1 Norfolk Stakes.

Bob Baffert trained Drill for owners Karl Watson, Michael Pegram, and Paul Weitman.
