Uncaptured, a 7-year-old son of Lion Heart, was North America’s most active stallion by mares bred in 2017 among those standing outside of Kentucky, covering 140 mares. His first foals will be 2-year-olds of 2018.
The Big Beast’s first foals are weanlings of 2017. The 6-year-old son of Yes It’s True won the Grade 1 King’s Bishop Stakes at 3, and ran second in a pair of Grade 1 races at 4.
The newly merged Irish Hill & Dutchess Views Stallions LLC has released the stud fees for its first season in partnership, led by Bellamy Road and Big Brown at $6,000 each.
The stallions are located at the Irish Hill property in Stillwater, N.Y., outside of Saratoga Springs.
War Envoy and Saburo, a pair of runners owned by Ruis Racing, will enter stud at Tommy Town Thoroughbreds in Santa Ynez, Calif., for the 2018 breeding season.
Saburo will stand for an advertised fee of $3,000. The 3-year-old Medaglia d’Oro colt was purchased by Mick Ruis of Ruis Racing for $600,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-olds in training sale, and was unplaced in two starts.
Castleton Lyons in Lexington, Ky., released its advertised stud fees for the 2018 breeding season, with both Gio Ponti and Justin Phillip standing for $5,000.
