Aqueduct | Race 4 | Post Time 2:55 p.m. (ET)
Some hold that a good betting race is one with a large field that lacks standouts. Sometimes, however, a large field lacking standouts simply is inscrutable, which appears to be the case in many of the Saturday stakes at Gulfstream. A couple of more obvious Florida horses, though, might offer value, and there’s good reason to get involved in the Aqueduct feature.

Sometimes, one must look far afield, maybe even halfway around the world, to find value. Fine, we’re on it. The Saudi Cup goes off just as the East Coast tracks get down to Saturday business. Stick around till late afternoon for a Derby prep in Arkansas.

GP RACE 10: PAPILIO was among the leading 3-year-old grass fillies on the continent last year before heading to the sidelines in the fall. The Irish-bred is making her first start with Lasix following the successful Mark Casse work pattern of one or two booming drills before an easy breeze to complete her thorough preparation. SWEET DANI GIRL won her season opener in a restricted stakes and should be prominent with her tactical speed.
