ARCADIA, Calif. – The fillies In the Air Tonight and Lil’ Bit Bossy and the colt Rumble King gave California breeder Terry Lovingier a sweep of the three maiden races for statebred juveniles at 4 1/2 furlongs at Santa Anita on Sunday.

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Accomplished international jockey Soufiane Saadi has his first Woodbine mount in Thursday’s opener since the native of France moved to Canada this spring.

According to his agent, Steve Roberts, Saadi has won 480 races. He captured group stakes for Godolphin and the Aga Khan while riding in France, Germany, England, the U.A.E., and Qatar, where the 28-year-old was the leading rider each of the last three years.

Dazzling Blue should get the right trip Monday at Churchill Downs in the Grade 3, $250,000 Winning Colors Stakes. She probably won’t be the right price.

Drawn widest of 11 in this six-furlong dirt sprint for older fillies and mares, Dazzling Blue was made the 5-2 morning-line favorite. The 4-year-old filly rates a solid chance, but her favoritism would be linked as much as anything to the man training her.
