Woodbine Oaks runner-up Caitlinhergrtness, the only filly in the rescheduled King’s Plate, has quite the namesake – WNBA star Caitlin Clark. The filly is seeking her own turn in the spotlight.

The two-time Canadian champion will prep for the Grade 1 Woodbine Mile in Friday’s Grade 2, $200,000 King Edward, a race that was rescheduled after it was canceled last Saturday due to heavy rain storms.

Nine horses were entered for the John’s Call, three of those designated for the main track only. The long-range weather forecast was calling for nearly a 50 percent chance of rain on Wednesday.
