OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Sterling Silver will seek her fifth career stakes victory while hoping to inch closer to millionaire status when she heads a bulky field of New York-bred fillies and mares entered in Friday’s $100,000 Bay Ridge Stakes as racing resumes at Aqueduct following an 11-day holiday break.

Twelve were entered in the one-mile Bay Ridge, but at least two will come out as Khali Magic was entered back for a $100,000 allowance here Sunday and Cruise to Catalina will not run, according to trainer Riley Mott.

Sarah’s Dream will go for her fifth straight win Friday at Gulfstream Park in a starter allowance scheduled for 1 1/16 miles on turf. There is a 70 percent chance of rain Friday, and a potential switch to the Tapeta track certainly wouldn’t hurt Sarah’s Dream.

Of interest to bettors, the Friday late pick five has a carryover of $217,084.

Sarah’s Dream, trained by Jose D’Angelo, is 3 for 3 over the Tapeta surface during her current four-race win streak. Sarah’s Dream did win a first-level allowance on turf by a nose Sept. 29.

White Abarrio’s presence in Saturday’s Grade 3, $165,000 Mr. Prospector Stakes didn’t seem to scare anybody away from the entry box as he will have 11 opponents in the seven-furlong race.

Among the more intriguing challengers is Mufasa, winner of the Grade 2 Vosburgh at Aqueduct in September who finished 11th in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile on Nov. 2 at Del Mar.

Trainer Bill Mott’s primary concern about Rocket Can, as it relates to a potential start in the $3 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational, is the colt’s ability to succeed at 1 1/8 miles. It is the primary reason Mott was noncommittal to the Pegasus following Rocket Can’s 1 1/4-length victory in Saturday’s Grade 3 Harlan’s Holiday Stakes at Gulfstream Park.
