ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Even the losers get lucky sometimes, and the longtime maiden Bee Me may have found a field that he can beat in Friday’s sixth race at Woodbine, a 6 1/2-furlong Tapeta sprint for Ontario-sired and $40,000 maidens.

Bee Me failed to crack the top two in eight starts last year at 3 while ending up third three times. The son of Bee Jersey has been much improved this year, during which he’s filled out the exacta behind a next-out winner thrice.
