Bright Gold won the $60,000 Buckland at Colonial Downs for the second straight year, defeating 8-1 shot Beautiful Bets by 1 1/2 lengths.
Ridden by Horatio Karamonos, Bright Gold finished the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:01.95. and paid $4.20 to win as the favorite.
A 6-year-old trained by Mary Eppler, Bright Gold has won 11 of 30 starts.
Jockey Jose Valdivia Jr. broke his collarbone in a spill in Sunday's Cinema Breeders' Cup Handicap at Hollywood Park, the third spill on the program.
Valdivia was injured when he fell from New Joysey Jeff in the stretch of the turf race. New Joysey Jeff was moving into contention near the eighth pole when he ducked out and unseated Valdivia, who was clear of the trailing runners.
There were spills in the two races preceding the Cinema Breeders' Cup Handicap.
Canadian invader Sophie's Trophy improved to 3 for 3 when she came from far back to win the $40,000 Irish Day Handicap at Emerald Downs by a neck over Chestnut Lady. Langara Lass got up for third in the field of 10.

FDD Dynasty remained unbeaten after three starts with a convincing win in Saturday's $1,142,000 Ed Burke Memorial Futurity for Quarter Horses at Los Alamitos.
