Morning Line, who didn’t win his first race until June 27 at Monmouth Park, won his stakes debut Saturday at Parx Racing, taking the $1 million Pennsylvania Derby by a neck over First Dude. Now, his connections will likely point him to the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic at Churchill Downs on Nov. 6.

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Biofuel, who earlier had been under serious consideration for the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic, will not be seeing action at Churchill Downs this November.

“We’re done for the year,” trainer Reade Baker said after sending out Biofuel for an emphatic two-length score here in Sunday’s Grade 3, $254,200 Selene Stakes.

“She’s had a great campaign. She’s been going hard since February at Palm Meadows, and she’s had a good four starts here, plus two trips out of town.”

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Don’s Folly seems better suited to the seven furlongs than some of the other contenders in Wednesday’s $125,000 Overskate at Woodbine, and he will be looking to notch his second consecutive stakes in the race for Ontario-sired runners.

Don’s Folly’s first stakes triumph took place three years ago at 2 in the seven-furlong Simcoe, which was for graduates of local yearling sales. He missed all of 2008, and had 1 win in 5 starts last year, which came in Ontario-sired allowance company.

It’s Good to Be Me figures to be a short price to notch his third straight win in Wednesday’s feature at Northlands Park. The six-furlong dash drew five older horses running for a $30,000 claiming price.

POMONA, Calif. – Jockey Alonso Quinonez is on a roll heading into the lucrative fall racing season.

Quinonez, 26, rode longshot Cayambe to a $53.40 front-running upset Sunday at Fairplex Park in the marquee race of the Los Angeles County Fair meet, the $75,000 Ralph M. Hinds Handicap.

Majesticality, the second longest shot on the board at 40-1 in a field of 11 3-year-olds, overcame a poor start to score a huge upset in the Grade 3, $156,291 British Columbia Derby at Hastings on Sunday.

Coming from well off the pace with Richard Hamel aboard, Majesticality ($82.60) made a strong late move while going at least four-wide around the final turn and edged Crew Leader by a half-length in the 1 1/8-mile feature on a card with three other stakes.

Senor Rojo and Spaghetti Mouse turned the 1 1/8-mile, $25,771  Sir Winston Churchill at Hastings into a match race on Sunday with Senor Rojo overtaking Spaghetti Mouse on the stretch turn and then drawing off to win by 1 1/4 lengths.

Breaking sharply with Richard Hamel aboard, Senor Rojo stalked Spaghetti Mouse through modest fractions of 24.05 and 48.74 seconds. He was still a length behind after six furlongs in 1:13.69 before moving up to take over the lead on the stretch turn.

Exclusive Scheme doesn’t get as much notoriety as her fellow New York-bred stablemate Chestoria, but she is having just as good - if not better - a season in 2010.

OCEANPORT, N.J. - Soundwave was a dominant winner in the filly division and Poseidon’s Warrior rolled to a convincing win at 9-1 against the colts and geldings as Monmouth Park hosted the National Association of Two-Year-Old Consignors Futurity on Sunday.

The two races were open to horses who cataloged in 2010 with a paid advertising fund fee.
