ARCADIA, Calif.- Overcoming challenges on the first turn, backstretch, and final furlong, Ellafitz won her third consecutive stakes in Saturday’s $200,000 Santa Maria Stakes at Santa Anita, the most impressive victory of her winning streak.

Ellafitz ($3.60) ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:42.48, finishing 1 1/4 lengths in front of 19-1 Miss Mittagong and 3-1 Vision in Gold, who finished in a dead heat for second in the field of seven. The margin at the finish was the farthest that Ellafitz got from her rivals during the race.

Iplaytricks won her second straight race at the Sunland Park meet on Saturday, when she upset Rose's Desert by three-quarters of a length in the $110,000 Sydney Valentini Handicap. The one-mile race was restricted to fillies and mares bred in New Mexico.

Iplaytricks ($16.40) overtook the 1-5 Rose's Desert, who was prominent for much of the way while shooting for her fifth straight win Saturday. Iplaytricks covered the distance on a fast track in 1:38.46. Ken Tohill rode the winner for Michael Stinson and trainer Joel Marr.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Absinthe Minded exerted her dominance over Oaklawn Park's filly and mares ranks Saturday in the $100,000 Bayakoa, when she powered to a four-length win over Tiz Miz Sue in the 1 1/16-mile race. It was Absinthe Minded second straight win in the race, and the fourth Bayakoa score for her jockey, Terry Thompson.

OLDSMAR, Fla. - Great Attack came four wide out of the turn and rallied outside the leaders through the drive to outfinish Western Prospector for a three-quarter-length victory in the $75,000 Tampa Turf Dash on Saturday.

Jeffrey Sanchez piloted Great Attack for trainer Wesley Ward. Great Attack covered the five furlongs over a turf course listed as "good" following rains on Friday in 55.93 seconds and returned $6.80 as the second choice of the field of eight.

Jimanator continued to prove himself a terrific claim for trainer Michael Trombetta and Three Diamonds Farm, re-rallying in the stretch after being passed by favored Heart Butte and drawing clear to win Saturday's $91,500 John B. Campbell Stakes by four lengths at Laurel Park.
