Arrogate was ridden by jockey Martin Garcia, who frequently rides Baffert’s leading horses in workouts. Arrogate was timed galloping out a mile in 1:38 on a track Baffert described as “sort of deep.”

Ronnie Betor
Emancipation, a full brother to Orb, broke his maiden in his racing debut last Friday at Belmont Park.

Emancipation, a full brother to 2013 Kentucky Derby winner Orb, finished third in his first try against winners but had a wide trip.

McGaughey said he plans to run Emancipation next at Saratoga.
