Timeline enters the State Dinner Stakes off a sharp allowance win on June 3.

Multiple graded stakes winner Timeline will begin his stud career next year at Iowa State University, joining a solid group of stallions and mares at the teaching program, which has developed into a prominent regional commercial program.

Timeline, by Hard Spun and from the female family of the great broodmare Courtly Dee, had his best season as a 3-year-old in 2017. He won the Grade 3 Peter Pan Stakes at Belmont by 3 1/4 lengths, then took the Grade 3 Pegasus Stakes at Monmouth by the same margin.

War of Will to stand at Claiborne Farm

War of Will wins the Maker's Mark Mile at Keeneland, becoming the third horse to win a U.S. classic and a Grade 1 stakes on turf.

Multiple Grade 1 winner War of Will will join his internationally successful sire War Front at Claiborne Farm upon his retirement from racing. The Hancock family's Paris, Ky., operation announced on Thursday that it had purchased an interest in the colt.

In the release, Claiborne said that 4-year-old War of Will, who is trained by Mark Casse for Gary Barber, will enter stud in 2021, with a fee to be announced later this year.

Nyquist, Effinex get first winners

Nyquist led all first-crop weanling sires at Keeneland November.

Eclipse Award champion juvenile and Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist was represented by his first winner as a stallion Sunday, as Dream Quist won her career debut at Ellis Park.

Dream Quist, who is trained by Ken McPeek for the partnership of C&H Diamond Racing and Baccari Racing Stable, stalked the pace before taking the lead in the stretch and drawing clear to win by 3 3/4 lengths. She finished the mile in 1:39.74.

California Chrome gets his first winner as sire in Russia

Well-traveled two-time Horse of the Year California Chrome, who began his stud career in Kentucky and shuttled to Chile before being sold to Japan, has been represented by his first winner in Russia.

Sunkar Time won a maiden race going about seven furlongs at Krasnodar Racetrack on Saturday  in Russia. The colt was bred in Kentucky by Bruce C. Ryan and was sold to Mikhail Yanakov's Olympia Star for $14,000 at the 2019 Keeneland September yearling sale.

Indian Pride becomes third stakes winner for dam, Ms. Cornstalk

Indian Pride, who races as a homebred for Brereton C. Jones and his Airdrie Stud program, scored her first stakes victory in the Shine Again Stakes on Friday at Saratoga. The filly’s bloodline shone through again, as she is the third stakes winner produced by her dam, Ms. Cornstalk.

War of Will joins War Front's multi-surface club

War of Will joined an elite club with his narrow victory in last Friday’s Grade 1 Maker’s Mark Mile on the Keeneland turf. The 2019 Preakness Stakes winner, War of Will is the third horse to win both an American classic and a Grade 1 race on the turf, joining the legendary Secretariat and the popular California Chrome.

War of Will also joined another, larger group of horses – those who showcase the versatility of their sire, War Front.
