LEXINGTON, Ky. – Eight Belles Stakes winner Victoria’s Wildcat has a new majority owner. Andrew Rosen privately purchased a controlling interest in Victoria’s Wildcat, a 3-year-old daughter ofBellamy Road, just days before she is scheduled to start in Belmont’s Acorn Stakes, her first Grade 1 race. Bloodstock agents John Stuart and Chris Brothers brokered the deal, but did not disclose Rosen’s exact percentage.
ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Owner/trainer Michael Pino was taking an edge when he ran Postpone with a $16,000 claiming tag first-time out. Postpone prevailed with authority then, and should be well-backed when he reappears in Thursday’s Woodbine feature, a $47,400 allowance for nonwinners-of-two.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Tom Simon's Vinery operation has opened a new bloodstock division at its Kentucky farm by privately acquiring Steve Castagnola's Kempton Bloodstock agency.
Castagnola, the former director of client development at Taylor made, went out on his own and formed Kempton Bloodstock in August 2009. He will now join Vinery as its director of bloodstock services.
Zenyatta, the 2010 Horse of the Year and the only mare to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic, is in foal after a second mating to Bernardini.
The mare’s pregnancy was confirmed on a website written by Dottie Ingordo-Shirreffs, purportedly in the mare’s “voice,” after vets performed an ultrasound Tuesday morning. Ingordo-Shirreffs is an adviser to the mare’s owners, Jerry and Ann Moss.
INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Just once trainer Dean Pederson would like to win a stakes at Hollywood Park without any hint of drama.
Way back in 2001, Pederson, based in Northern California at the time, won the California Sires Stakes with Super Tuesday, who prevailed by a nose after a lengthy photo review. Pederson was back in the winner’s circle at Hollywood Park on May 22 with Logical Single, the upset winner of the Fran’s Valentine Stakes.
