Three things you need to know before betting on Iowa State-Baylor:

1. Last season, Iowa State earned a 38-31 victory over Baylor as a 14-point home favorite. It was the third year in a row that the Bears were able to cover against the Cyclones. Breece Hall rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns in last year’s contest, and he also added another two catches for 27 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He’ll be the focal point of Iowa State’s offense again on Saturday, and Baylor head coach Dave Aranda’s main goal will be finding a way to limit his production.

2. The Bears are one of only five FBS teams averaging more than 300 rushing yards per game this season, but they haven’t faced a defense quite as good as this one. On the season, Iowa State is giving up just 56.0 rushing yards per game. The Cyclones have also capitalized on momentum off of strong defensive performances, going 9-1 against the spread when coming off back-to-back games of allowing 125 or fewer rushing yards since 2019.

3. Last year’s game was the first between these two that went Over the total since 2016, and it’ll be interesting to see how it unfolds this time around. Iowa State is coming off three consecutive Unders entering this one, but Baylor has been a part of two Overs in a row. For what it’s worth, the Under is 11-2-1 when Iowa State has played against teams with winning records since the start of the 2019 season. It’s also 1-6 in the seven games that the Cyclones have played against teams that average 6.25 or more yards per play in that time.
