2024 MEET STATS: 300 - 975 / $1,621.70 (-$328.30) BEST BETS: 43 - 84 / $152.60 (-$15.40) BEST BET: SINBAD N (8th) SPOT PLAY: MISS CHANTILLY N (4th) Race 1: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) MY ULTIMATE BYRON N hasn't won in a while but he generally outraces his odds every start and he's a clean trip away from getting it done. Kakaley drives and missed a nose with him two back. (1) YOROKOBI N steps up a notch again but he's been good recently and figures to be well-placed starting from the rail. (3) THIS IS THE PLAN drops back to a more manageable level and gets post relief; 3-million earner should land a piece. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (6) CALLMEQUEENBEE A was much the best last week out of the six hole and she goes for three straight as the deserving favorite. (4) FREESTARFLIGHT was in too tough in her last couple but she drops back to the level of her prior wins and the Stratton trainee is likely the biggest threat to the top choice. (1) IDEAL COVER hiked from the $25's to the $50's and surged home for the dead heat; mare is also streaking and must be considered. Race 3: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (2) CANNERY ROW is still shut out on the season but last week she finished third in a needed start, her first for Gillis. Good post should set her up with a live trip. (6) SPORTS FLIX has also been camera-shy but she just missed last start and has plenty of experience over this track. (4) TERACITA faltered as the chalk last week but she's well established at this level and can bounce back at a better price. Race 4: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (5) MISS CHANTILLY N had too far to come last start but managed to pass a few and she has shown speed on occasion; there doesn't appear to be a ton of early foot inside of her so maybe Stratton can get her near the front. (2) JIVE DANCING A is on the comeback trail after a dry spell and Bartlett drives again looking to double up. (3) HEAVENS SHOWGIRL A has been in the money frequently at this level; chance for a piece. Race 5: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace (2) JUST ROSAS LUCK has been right there in every recent start, and for multiple trainers. She has the feel of one who's way overdue and just needs a reasonable trip. (1) MCNATURAL L returns to Yonkers and is now in the Bongiorno barn, which priced her in at this $25K level. We'll see how she goes. (3) LINE EM UP is sitting at "last 5 starts=$0" which is hard to imagine for a top barn but the Engblom trainee gets Bartlett in the bike hoping to show more. Race 6: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (6) FRONDEUR bounced back from a break in her local return and absolutely jogged last week. Staying at the same level she gets the call to repeat. (2) PINK RUBY has current form that is hard to argue with as she's been in the top three in her last eight starts. New barn tonight via claim but she stays in the same class. (1) PHELGON was a pocket-sitting winner from a similar spot two back. Race 7: $60,000-$75,000 Claiming Pace (8) ROCK DIAMONDS N looks awesome in the program as he's filled up every available call with a "1". Veteran is right back in for the same price in this handicap race and obviously the outside post doesn't bother him. (2) FREQUENT IMAGE has been sharp since moving to the Alexander barn and he looks to have the best chance to beat the "Rock". (7) SHAZAM BLUE CHIP beat this class from the rail last start at odds-on for Bartlett/Engblom. He's likely looking forward off the gate with #8 which could make for an interesting early run. Race 8: 2-5YO winners of 2-4 races lifetime Pace (4) SINBAD N has been inching closer and closer to a win; is tonight the night? With the post edge on his main rivals I say yes. (7) KID FROM THE BRONX has been solid in defeat in two starts for this barn off the claim and Bartlett drives again. Only problem is the post. (2) FIREARM can sit a close-up trip, possibly in the pocket, and round out the triple. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) KINGSVILLE always gives a solid effort and he's very dangerous from the rail. (2) CHURCHVIEWFRANKL IR returns to Yonkers and picks up the leading driver. Gelding was 6 for 13 here last year. (6) FUNATTHEBEACH N drops in class to a much more reasonable level and it's hard to ignore this now 10YO millionaire. He can go forward off the gate if asked. Race 10: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (7) SHEIKH YABOOTY N is back with Bongiorno off the reclaim and she leaves every week, so if she can make the front without too much of a problem she can win this, likely at a fair price. There is talent to her inside however, namely (2) HARPER SEELSTER, who is a head shy of a two-race win streak at this level, and (4) REAL LADY SADIE, who has also been sharp and now enters the DiDomenico barn.
