2024 MEET STATS: 300 - 975 / $1,621.70 (-$328.30) BEST BETS: 43 - 84 / $152.60 (-$15.40) BEST BET: AMERICAN DEALER N (4th) SPOT PLAY: TASTE OF HONEY (1st) Race 1: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (7) TASTE OF HONEY was a winner in his first start after moving to the Burke barn and though he faces better here and draws poorly he may have more to offer and will be a decent price. (1) POINTOMYGRANSON drops again, draws best, picks up Kakaley. He's the one to beat but won't offer much value. (2) GREAT SOMEWHERE dropped to this level last start and went down the road from the rail but could not last at odds-on. He figures to be chasing #1 and does have the back class to prevail. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $30,000 Claiming Pace (6) SMOKIN BY N jogged two back at this $30K claiming level then set a quick clip facing better and folded. Veteran meets a camera-shy field here and should be ready for action. (1) SAN DOMINO A has underachieved since that $40K claim back in June so the connections drop him in price. Shane Tritton trainee has the rail with Bartlett driving again looking to turn things around. (4) YS DO IT RIGHT gets needed post relief and was a decent third from a similar spot two back. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: $50,000 Claiming Pace (2) BIG DREAM FELLA hasn't had the easiest of trips in his two starts since being claimed by the Dilloian barn. 4YO draws well and deserves another chance. (1) SHINE A LIGHT was a good second three back at a big price and last week he was hung to dry. He's got speed from the rail and the aggressive Holland driving again. (6) JUST ENUFF STUFF closed crisply last out, figures to be a late player again. Race 4: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) AMERICAN DEALER N is able to take a drop in class after just getting caught last week in a 1:51 mile. Toscano trainee looks much the best here. (2) POUND FOR POUND has speed and another good draw tonight; he may end up with the stalking trip in behind #3. (8) BIRTHDAY lands a brutal post but two back he overcame the seven hole so maybe Brennan takes a serious shot off the gate. Race 5: $40,000 Claiming Pace (4) UCANTTOUCHTHIS showed significant improvement for the Victoria Stratton barn in his second start upon arrival from Plainridge. This is a competitive field but he may be worth a try at what should be a decent price. (5) GENTLE GIANT put in big wire-to-wire effort when reclaimed by these connections and Siegelman figures to be forwardly placed again. (1) DANCE ON THE BEACH gets major post relief and will be in the thick of the action. Race 6: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) HUNTERS HERO dropped and popped last week with a big effort for the Alexander barn and he looks primed to repeat. (1) CENTURY HEINEKEN goes from the seven hole all the way to the rail; big threat for good connections. (4) HANDLELIKEAPORSCHE gets away from the eight hole though still faces an uncertain trip; best of the rest? Race 7: 3-5YO Open Pace Tough race here. (4) JOEMIKIYOURSOFINE had some finishing pace after being uninvolved in his local return and prior to that we saw some solid efforts over at The Meadowlands and on the 5/8's in Pennsylvania. Midpack post gives catch driver Joe Bongiorno some options and he should be a fair price. (3) THUNDER HUNTER JOE recently added Lasix and has won two of three. Big step up here to the top level but he seems fast enough and has a post edge on many of these. (8) PLEASELETMEKNOW is brutally assigned post eight here and I'm not sure if Kakaley can get him involved. He's got the talent, however, and may be overlooked in the wagering. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) WATTSUP SUNSHINE A took just four starts to find the winner's circle after arriving from Australia and the Vallee charge somehow remains at the same level (eligible at time of entry?). He seems talented enough to mow down the speed again. (3) NONE BETTOR A can still bring it at 11 years old and though he's been caught in his last couple they were honest tries. (7) BIG GULP returned to the win column last week after a dry spell and looks to repeat for Engblom/Bartlett but they step up and move outside; tough spot. Race 9: 3-5YO Open Pace (6) RACING RAMPAGE has been a killer since joining the Alexander barn and he goes for his fourth straight at this 3-5YO Open level. (5) VENTURESOME ARDEN N hasn't put in a poor effort all year and he's also streaking, going for three straight. (4) MIRAGE HANOVER is the lone 3YO in here but deserves respect as a Meadowlands Pace finalist and more recently was second to Legendary Hanover in the Cane.
