Top Pick Stats: 136/405 (-$134.40) Best Bets: 16/36 (-$15.20); Spot Plays: 9/37 (-$28.50) Best Bet: SUPERIOR DELIGHT (Race 9) Spot Play: P N G SHADOW (Race 2) Early Pick 5: 4,5/4/6,7/4,7/4,8,10 $4.80 Late Pick 5: 1,5/2,6/1,4/6/2,5,6,7 $6.40 Race 1: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (4) HP CRYSTALINE is a major drop-and-pop threat with many others not showing as much in their short careers. She is likely to be driven like the best horse in the race. (5) FIGURATIVELY is another Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Series dropper who could provide a real scare to the ML favorite if she sits close enough. (1) PRESS ON BALLYKEEL has strung together solid stakes efforts and could be an early pace presence. (3) SOCIAL WIZARD likely should've won after the trip she got last time. It was her first start in about a month, though, so she could've been a step short. Race 2: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: GRASSROOTS STARTERS. (4) P N G SHADOW just missed after swinging three-wide at the top of the stretch. She lost nothing in defeat and should be given a good trip this week. (6) POWNAL BAY BOBBI has found better form since adding Lasix. She held off P N G Shadow last week. It wouldn’t shock me if they sit 1-2. (2) A BETS A BET had no chance from jump but still paced a 55 1/5 back half. She can sit and sprint for a piece. (7) BIKINI SEELSTER was given a great trip two back, and may have to be put in play again. She can get a share tonight. Race 3: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $30,500) LIFETIME. (7) WISDOM HANOVER took a bad shuffle in her latest before re-rallying and just missing. An effort like that sticks out here. (6) FIREFLIESNTHUNDER has been frequently coming up short, but adds Lasix, and is more than likely getting another chance near the front. (1) CABALLERO was a solid second to start the month, but comes off a sick scratch. He might be handled more conservatively as a result, but could do some damage if he finds a live helmet. (2) ULTRA MYLES is tailing out of form, and even when he wasn't, he would find ways to lose. He can sit inside and grab a share. Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 3 RACES) OR $8,500 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. AE: 3 YR OLDS N/A $1,385 P/S IN 2025. (7) TWIN B ALLIANCE has been racing decently, but the trips have not helped. I would like to see him a bit more forward tonight, which could result in a big effort. (4) INTUIT BIG cut a quick half last time but was still battling in the late stages. A close trip off a helmet could be just what he needs. (5) NOVA BLU missed a check last time but gets post relief. He is very reliable on exotics. (1) WINCHESTER PHOENIX has shown decent late speed out of town. He can close for a share. Race 5: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (10) STORMONT FAST BOY sprinted home from off-the-pace in his debut. I would expect a lot of money to find him tonight, even with the wide draw. (4) SILVER DETECTOR was a solid winner at Grand River last week. I would expect him to show more on the big track and with J-Mac getting the call. (8) LAND THE PLANE could roll over these if he minds his manners. The hopples appear to have helped. (2) SENDI KA put forth the best race of his career last week. He is improving with each start. ► Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 6: CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $10,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (5) OLAF DU LAC didn't have to do much work when riding the rail to a second-place finish, but that was the spot to be that night, and he could be tight enough for a speed try. (1) STARS TREASURE races off the claim for a barn that would typically get more out of horses on the first go. It hasn't been as good of a season, but I'll count on it happening this time. (8) LETS GET PICKLED is an obvious down-the-road threat off the drop, though he hasn't been handled that aggressively lately. (7) FLYING ART A pulled off the upset after the rail opened up for him. Things shouldn't be as easy for him tonight. Race 7: POP UP SERIES: H&G CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $5,000 L5 STARTS. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. LEG 3. AE: LEG 1 & 2 STARTERS. MUST START IN 2 LEGS TO BE ELIGIBLE TO FINAL. (6) WALL STREET BELL has been hit and miss when trying the front in recent weeks, but gets James MacDonald, who drove him two starts ago, back on. I think he presses the pedal from this post and tries to take them all the way. (2) OPULENT DRAGON has been knocking at the door and could show more off the claim, but is likely to be overbet in this spot. (4) TRIDENT SEELSTER was another who benefitted from the rail opening up last week and ended up a winner in his first start off the claim for the Kyle Fellows barn. He has hit the board in 19 of his 31 starts this season. (5) PASSIONATE PRINCE does decent work from off-the-pace. He could find some cheap speed in here and grab a share. Race 8: HORSES & GELDINGS, NW $1,500 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 10 STARTS. AE: N/A $1,305 PER START IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS). AE: OPT. CLM. $12,500. (4) BROOKDALE MIKI drops in class again, this time to a bottom level condition. He has raced well in recent weeks when taking air on the outside and could sustain that move into the winner's circle. (1) BUDDYVILLE was aggressively handled again last week and put forth a good showing, finishing second behind a big favorite. If his form continues, he should be a major player tonight. (5) CRUISE HANOVER finished behind Buddyville last week. He usually has some pace to offer in the late stages if he isn't pressed too hard in the opening half. (7) LARCENY almost has to move forward in this spot, but that excuse has been laid out for him for weeks now. Unless he is brave enough to sustain a try near the lead, I see him as an underneath use again. Race 9: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES: PROSPECT STARTERS. (6) SUPERIOR DELIGHT has been expertly put in spots where she is going to get the job done the majority of the time, it seems. Despite almost a month off, she was put into a Prospect Series race and got the job done at nearly even money. She is the horse to beat. (5) EXPRESSO BEANS could get the best trip of anyone if she is forwardly-placed. A pocket trip behind the ML favorite is usually what you want for an upset attempt. (2) WHISKEY BLUE CHIP has made her presence known at the Prospect level. She finished second behind Superior Delight last week. The same outcome could happen here. (7) P L SUZIE picks up J-Mac for her return to the Mohawk oval. Her style suits the driver well, and she could end up adding value to exotics if she gets a setup. Race 10: 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: GRASSROOTS STARTERS. (5) PIERRE IN PARIS picks up J-Mac after another strong closing effort last week. He has a knack when teaming up with horses that have an off-the-pace style. (2) DAY has been knocking on the door and got Louis Roy's nod. Last week was her best effort in a while. (6) OUTBOUND TRAIN could be a nice value use on exotics and to round out late Pick-5 tickets. If he puts it all together, he can be dangerous in this spot. (7) ARMSTEAD FIREBALL was likely too far back in his latest, but it didn't help when a rival in front of him went off-stride and bothered him. Plante could be on the move early and get him out of trouble. (1) FIRST CLASS RULE faded back to fourth in his latest after a front-end try. His past races show that he could easily bounce back, but if he gets out-sprinted early, I'm not so sure about that. I'll use him on the bottom of tickets and try to get some value up top.
