Top Pick Stats: 536 - 1629 / $2,809.20 (-$454.80) Best Bets: 82 - 152 / $293.80 (-$10.20) Spot Plays: 25 - 155 / $155.00 (-$155.00) Best Bet: HUNGRY TO SUCCEED (6TH) Spot Play: INSTANTANEOUS (5TH) Early Pick 5: 2,10/3,4/1,3/1,5,6,8/3,4,7 = $19.20 Late Pick 5: 6,7/2,10/2,3,6,7/2,4/1,3 = $12.80 Early Pick 4: 1,5,6,8/3,4,7/6,7/2,10 = $9.60 Late Pick 4: 2,3,6,7/2,4/1,3/3,7,8 = $9.60 Race 1:  2YO and 3YO colts and geldings NW2 or $15,000 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** (10) HANGOVER HILL has already shown that he can win from the 10-hole, and he is the one to beat here as he shoots for a fourth straight win. (2) LA BARBE arrives from Ottawa with five wins but gets into this race via the earnings allowance. He is an obvious threat making his first start racing out of the Moreau barn. (7) A CLASS YANKEE was resilient sustaining a long first-over move to break his maiden, but this is tougher. I’ll use him underneath tonight. (5) CALL ME IT comes off a solid effort but he has missed some time; small share predicted. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Winners of 4 but nor more than 7 or $100,000 LT AE: 3YO 4YO and 5YO claiming $60,000 (3) DONTTOUCHMYTRUCK was dead game rebuffing the pocket-sitting heavy favorite last week and he is a big threat to go down the road again in this short field; call to repeat. (4) KOPI LUWAK looked a bit sluggish in the third 1/4 but then rallied well to win via a 26 4/5 kicker. He should be sharper now returning in seven days this time. He is the one to fend off. (1) BOSTON BOUND got a bit of a lucky trip, but he did fly late to capitalize, and he is in the exotics mix here. (2) DUPREE HANOVER is always around the money, and he figures to be part of the Tri or Super again. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: 5YO and younger NW2 or $33,000 LT (1) LETS GO JUDE dominated similar last week and he likely notches the threepeat at a short price here. (3) SPEAKER OF PEACE was live late in the mile, but the choice already had the jump. He could upset here with the right trip. I look for Young to blast to the front then look to race in the choice’s pocket to the lane. (7) SAULSBROOK IAN was a win machine on the Maritimes, and he goes for Fellows with Macdonald in the bike in this local debut. I prefer to use him underneath the top two choices in this spot. (5) BROOKDALE JOHNNY gets post relief tonight and he can improve enough to land in the bottom of the exotics. Race 4: NW $4,850 L5 or $11,500 L10 AE: NW $19,000 in 2023 - Pick 4 Wide-open race to kick off the Pick 4. I’ll side with (1) LETS TIE ONE ON, who got a needed tightener in coming off a three-month break and finished with good late pace. (6) REACTOR NOW N looked good mowing them down one class lower now he draws best. He will likely lay closer to the front this time and that gives him a decent chance to repeat. (5) SUN CHIP was used up early making front from the widest post in a 12-horse field. This is a better sot for him, and he is in with an upset chance. (8) MAD MAN HILL comes off a good first-over effort at this level and he won’t get bet much starting from an outside post; price look for the multis. Race 5: NW $1,500 L3   (4) INSTANTANEOUS had designs on making front leaving the gate last week, but four rivals to his inside had the same idea. He tucked in fifth, took a mid race shuffle, then finished with interest amid traffic racing along the pylons. He is a threat to lead all the way dropping to the bottom level tonight. (7) FABRIZIO strangely didn’t get bet much last week and it appeared he needed the start based on how he raced. He drops again and he is obviously good enough to beat these if sharp enough; using. (3) MIGHTY MACH should get put into play leaving the gate this week and that gives him a chance to work out a nice trip. He is the third one that I’ll use in multis. (9) TORONTO could be in for a long trip from post 9. I’ll fade him in this spot. Race 6: 5YO and younger NW2 or $33,000 LT - Pick 5 (6) HUNGRY TO SUCCEED missed 19 days between starts but it didn’t matter last week. He looks good to repeat here drawing best and facing similar. (7) COME ON ARTIE jogged and took his life’s mark last time he raced at this level three starts back. He looks like the main threat here. (3) HIGH VOLTAGE DEO gets away from Control The Gold but now runs into two other tough rivals. He likely closes for another slice tonight. (9) TOBINS PROFIT, 2nd to the choice last week, likely closes for a share here starting from a wide post. Race 7: NW $15,500 in 2023   (10) WILDRIVERBUMBLEBEE finds a great spot here and he should be tough to beat despite drawing widest. I expect Macdonald to blast off the gate and drive on until he reaches the front. (2) BETTOR HALF looked good pulling pocket on the chalk and sailing past to win. Filion sticks with him over the choice, and he figures to be the main threat. (5) EASTON BEACH is interesting to me because J Mac takes the lines. I’ll give him a price look for the exotics. (9) ANGELO is capable of sneaking into the bottom of the exotics at a price with his typical late charge. Race 8: NW $14,000 L5 AE: NW $85,000 in 2023 - Pick 4 (7) SOMETIME SOMEWHERE beat a better field racing first up two starts back and he gets top billing here on the class drop. (3) WHICHWAYTOTHEBEACH couldn’t outsprint a resilient leader last week but that was a good effort, and he is in with a decent chance tonight; using. (6) ROCKABILLY REBEL N adds Lasix which probably explains his line from 10/28. He will be a threat on the class drop assuming all is okay with him. (2) JABBERWOCKY has a better chance to leave quickly tonight and that’s when he races best. He can land in the bottom of the exotics.   Race 9: PREFERRED Not much went right for (4) EMMETTS BUDDY last week. He left hard for position, then took a shuffle when several rivals made middle moves. He rallied well late but was overtaken near the wire by (2) COLD CREEK QUESO, who sat back and watched all the action then made his move in the lane. I’ll call the former to turn the tables here. (6) AMERICAN HISTORY might have moved a bit early last week. I think he sits back and rallies late here, but I prefer to use him underneath. (1) POINTS NORTH is sharp, and he has been racing tough every week. He is hard to leave out of the exotics. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: 5YO and younger winners of 2 but not more than 4 or $45,000 LT AE: 3YO 4YO 5YO claiming $50,000 (3) STORMALONG provided perfect cover for the winner last time and that rival is stuck in post 10 tonight. He gets top billing here. (1) KAPTAIN KAROS closed from third-over to finish 3rd in that same race, and he will likely get more aggressive here starting from an inside post; using. (4) BOOZER comes off a decent front end try, and he can stick around to take another share here. (10) ACAPULCO SUNBURN likely closes for a small slice from post 10 tonight. Race 11: NW $8,000 L5 or $19,500 L10 AE: OPT CLM $50,000 (7) I AMA ROCKET continues to race tough every week. I think he makes an early move to the front this week and plays come catch me. (3) UNDRTHSOUTHRNSUN N should be a threat on the class drop although Macdonald did choose the choice over him. He is the second one that I will use in the late Pick 4. (8) HESINCONTROL closed well after leaving from the rail last week and he can is in with an upset chance here. (9) LEGION SEELSTER often finishes in the top 4 and he is a good one to use underneath. (10) THE GREEK FREAK closed for a share from this post last week, but he faces tougher here. A small slice is his likely ceiling tonight.
