Bosskiri ($2.90) remained undefeated with an authoritative victory in the $125,000 Lady Angela Stakes at Woodbine. Bosskiri led throughout the seven-furlong sprint for Ontario-sired 3-year-old fillies, setting slow fractions of 23.41 and 46.50 seconds. She opened up a clear lead at the head of the stretch, then held off Baby Lou to prevail by 3 3/4 lengths in a final time of 1:23.88. Whiskey and Low was another 2 1/4 lengths back in third in the five-horse field. "Once we were left alone on the lead, she pricked her ears and settled down nicely," said Jim McAleney, who rode Bosskiri for trainer Reade Baker. "With [fast] horses like her, that's how you get seven-eighths of a mile." Bosskiri, now unbeaten in four starts, earned $75,000 for owners Harlequin Ranches, Park Stud, and D. Morgan Firestone.
