Immersive, certain to be named champion 2-year-old filly of 2024 when Eclipse Award winners are announced later this month, has been taken out of training because of bone bruising, according to a news release from her owner and breeder, Godolphin. Immersive had been stabled at Payson Park in Florida with trainer Brad Cox but was sent to a veterinary clinic for an examination because Cox “wasn’t happy with the way she was moving,” Godolphin director of bloodstock Michael Banahan said in the release. The release said Immersive “would likely be off until summer” without offering a more specific timeline. By Nyquist out of Gap Year, by Bernardini, Immersive went 4 for 4 with three Grade 1 wins at age 2, landing the Spinaway and the Alcibiades before capturing the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies by 4 1/2 lengths. Cox has two more undefeated 3-year-old fillies at the head of their class, Good Cheer and Muhimma. :: Access the most trusted data and information in horse racing!
