Indiana-sired horses take center stage Wednesday evening at Indiana Grand Racecourse, with a pair of $85,000 races. The Shelby County for fillies and mares and the William Henry Harrison for 3-year-olds and up will both be contested at six furlongs. Trainer Jeff Greenhill sends out the coupled entry of In a Jif and Aint She a Saint in the Shelby County. In a Jif will be looking for her third consecutive victory. The 4-year-old filly won an allowance race at Indiana Grand May 16 by two lengths in her first out this year. In her last outing she won an optional claiming event there going 5 1/2 furlongs by a nose. Both victories came in front-running style. In a Jif has won 5 of 7 races over the Indiana Grand racecourse. Fernando De La Cruz retains the mount. Aint She a Saint is a former Indiana Horse of the Year and comes from off the pace. The differing styles of his entrants should give Greenhill a good chance of winning no matter how the race sets up. Malcom Franklin will ride Aint She a Saint. Hot Wind will be looking for her third consecutive win on Wednesday. Hot Wind was claimed two starts ago by Tom Amoss for owner Maggi Moss. In her last two victories, Hot Wind was kept just off the early pace, a tactic that should work well in the field of 11 in the Shelby County. DRF FORMULATOR FACT: No. 10 Hot Wind (5-2 morning line). Trainer Tom Amoss is 27 for 65 (42 percent win rate and 74 percent in the money) for $2.41 ROI over the past five years with horses in dirt sprints at Indiana Grand that won their last race.
