Stephen Panus, the president of The Jockey Club’s Media Ventures since 2011, has resigned his position, The Jockey Club announced on Thursday, along with a number of other management changes. Panus, whose motivational memoir “Walk On” was published earlier this year, guided The Jockey Club’s media properties, which includes America’s Best Racing, for the past 13 years. He has formed a public-relations agency, Twisted Hairs, Inc., in the past month, according to his LinkedIn profile, and will remain as a “strategic consultant” to The Jockey Club, the company said in a release. Panus’s position at the head of Media Ventures will be filled by Jim Gagliano, the president and chief operating officer of The Jockey Club. Greg Charkoudian and Dan Tordjman have both been promoted to vice presidents for Media Ventures. The Jockey Club also announced a number of other promotions on Thursday: * Andrew Chesser has been promoted to director of Registration Services and director of Business Development. * Amber Florence has been promoted to senior vice president of Finance and Business Planning. * Shannon Kelly has been named director of Industry Relations for The Jockey Club. Kelly is also executive director of The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation. * Shannon Luce has been promoted to vice president of Communications. Luce has been with The Jockey Club since 2005. * Christelle Morgan has been named manager of Cataloging for The Jockey Club Information Systems. * Kristin Werner has been named deputy general counsel and director of Industry Initiatives of The Jockey Club.  :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
