Best Bet: EVERY WAY OUT (2nd) Spot Play: DARLINONTHEBEACH (8th) Race 1 - $25,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool Race 3 - $25,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool Race 7 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool MEET STATS: 36 - 86 / $183.90 (+$11.90) BEST BETS: 6 - 8 / $15.60 (-$.40) Race 1 (7) HYWAY MARCUS has found his mojo and has one of the better amateurs in Roy Marohn at the controls. I’d like him better from an inside post but still think he is best. (4) REAL DJ HANOVER has a distinct post advantage over the other logical contenders. If Svanstedt gets an easy lead she can go a long way. (9) PANANA REPUBLIC has won the GSY in each of her last two tries; clear player. (1) JUSTIN ON BROADWAY should flash early speed and get into the exotics. Race 2 (2) EVERY WAY OUT has proven without a doubt that he is the best in this NJSS series. Take the 1-9 and be happy or skip the race. (5) DEO GALILEO is two-for-two completing the exacta in NJSS action; soon to be three-for-three. (3) PRAIRIE MCDREAMY had a bad week last time; can rebound for third, maybe second. Race 3 (1A) SOUTHWIND HYDRO flipped out behind the gate last week and lost any chance. The price should improve greatly now and it is quite reasonable to think he can rebound. (5) NORTHERN STARLIGHT comes off a nice win and should offer value with the trainer jumping in the bike. (4) VICTOR GIO IT finally stayed trotting with the addition of Tetrick in the sulky. Maybe he is the key? (8) TRUE FRIENDS lured David Miller off #6. She stayed trotting with hobbles added but may be handled carefully here. Race 4 (1) COLORFUL JASMINE is perfect in three starts this year and seems to have a clear edge on this group. (6) MISQUED improved in her second start of the year and doesn’t seem to have an issue taking some air on the rim. If someone is going to beat the fave, this is the most likely upsetter. (2) LIVININTHEDREAM should stick close from the inside post and have every chance if she can find more in the tank. Race 5 (5) ARIANA G won like the champion she is in her 2017 debut and seems like a convincing 1-5 shot in this spot. (2) GLITZEY GAL was driven somewhat confidently in early stretch last week and I’d guess that driver David Miller was surprised she didn’t have more left. I expect her to be tighter for the final this week. (4) ICE ATTRACTION bested #2 last time in a sharp effort. There is some talent here. (3) ROMANCING RACHEL should stick close and get a nice piece, but I don’t view her as a top two player. Race 6 (1A) GURAL HANOVER & (1) OPULENT YANKEE should both be firing off the gate and they have a tag team edge on other logical contender (6) RUBBER DUCK. I expect the entry to head to the front and control the action with Rubber Duck likely settling for second. (4) MUSCLE DIAMOND could have a chance if he can return to form, but I’m leaning against. Race 7 (1) LONG TOM went a big mile here in the first round of NJSS action and might just be on level with (2) WHAT THE HILL. Since the price should be better, I’ll take a shot. The latter is perfect in a trio of starts in 2017 and deserves to be the favorite, but I didn’t think he looked as good last time. (4) YES MICKEY chased home the top pick most recently and could certainly continue to improve. Race 8 (8) DARLINONTHEBEACH qualified impressively and lays over this field. Even if handled patiently she should take care of business. (1) GIRLOFYOURDREAMS should be hustled away from the inside and be in a prime spot. It could be a scrum for second. (3) FOR THE LADIES N couldn’t handle the outside posts at Yonkers. Callahan joins the team and the post is much better. (4) GWENEEEE J comes off a win. Race 9 (4) ROCK ME BABY was used up early and paid the price upon arrival. Being that was her first start over the big track I could see her improving greatly. (2A) KEYSTONE I WISH has been in form for months. Any decent trip should put her right there. (6) CHEYENNE ROBIN steps up off a win and shouldn’t be hurt by the addition of Gingras. (1A) ACEFOURTYFOUR ALEX has early speed and some form. Race 10 (6) SHEER FLEX is down in class where he wired the field three starts back. This is clearly his race to lose. (1) MONTALBANO BI improved with Gingras and while this looks like a class rise, this field isn’t that tough. (4) MOONLIGHT COCKTAIL raced well from a tough spot last time; moves inside. (9) STITCH IN TIME beat the second and third choice last week but is stuck outside now. Race 11 (4) LET HER ROCK drops down versus a mostly dull group and has no excuses. (1) VELOCITY LANA came up flat at Harrington after a three month break. She is better than that. (6) HEAVENLY BRIDE finds a good spot and this barn certainly knows how to have them ready. (2) MISS DEFIANCE should save ground. I wouldn’t be shocked if she shook free for a big piece. [DRF BETS OFFER: Become a VIP with DRFBets and get a $300 Bonus!]
