Dr. Bryce Peckham, who had served as the interim chief racing veterinarian for the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission since October, has been elevated to a permanent role in that position, it was announced Tuesday. Peckham, who had previously spent 12 years as the chief racing veterinarian for the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, "already has proven to be a valuable asset," the commission's executive director, Lisa Underwood, said in a news release.
