HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Jockey David Cohen will be wearing a new set of silks aboard Keepmeinmind in the upcoming Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn. Spendthrift Farm announced Feb. 7 it had purchased a 50 percent ownership interest in Keepmeinmind. Cody Autrey, who brokered the deal through his bloodstock agency based in Hot Springs, Ark., recently said Keepmeinmind will race in Spendthrift’s silks in the Southwest. The deal is the second Autrey has brokered on Keepmeindmind. He said Arnold Bennewith bought into the horse last year before the Breeders’ Cup. Oaklawn was hit with a snowstorm Monday and the temperature was 11 degrees midday. The freezing temperatures were forecast to last through at least Wednesday. The weather had cost locals four days of training through Monday.
