Three new members have been elected to the 27-seat Senate of the Jockeys’ Guild, the organization announced on Thursday. The three new members are Deshawn Parker, Joe Talamo, and Jay Conklin, the Jockeys’ Guild said. The organization’s Senate determines the fees that are assessed Jockeys’ Guild members and selects the group’s chairman and other board members. Parker was elected to the Eastern region of the Senate, joining Joe Bravo, Javier Castellano, Ramon Dominguez, Stewart Elliot, Mike Luzzi, Mario Pino, Edgar Prado, and John Velazquez, the current Guild chairman. Talamo and Conklin were both elected to the Western region of the Senate, joining David Flores, Garrett Gomez, Casey Lambert, Mike Smith, G.R. Carter, Cody Jensen, and Freddie Martinez. The members of the Central region of the Senate are Robby Albarado, Jesse Campbell, Joel Campbell, Jon Court, Perry Compton, Jerry LaSala, Glen Murphy, Rodney Prescott, and Eddie Razo.
