LOUISVILLE, Ky. Indian Gracey was to be scratched from the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies on Friday because of soreness in her right front foot, trainer Jerry Hollendorfer said Thursday morning.\r\nHollendorfer first noticed the problem on Wednesday morning, but wanted to wait a day to see if the filly responded to treatment. At the time, Hollendorfer thought there was a chance she would respond and make the race. But by Thursday morning, he realized he was running out of time, and decided to pass.\r\n“It’s just bad timing,” he said. “We could push it and make the race, but it’s not worth it. I’ll take her back to Hollywood Park.”\r\nHollendorfer is based at Hollywood Park. He said his next objective for Indian Gracey would be the Grade 1 Hollywood Starlet on Dec. 11.\r\nIndian Gracey most recently had finished third in the Grade 1 Oak Leaf Stakes during the Oak Tree meeting at Hollywood Park. She finished second in her first two races, both sprints, before defeating maidens at Del Mar on Sept. 5 when first sent around two turns.
