A funeral service for jockey Joe Farley has been set for Thursday at 2 p.m. Eastern at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Grantville, Pa. Farley, a jockey since 2007, died Saturday following an automobile accident on his way to work at Penn National Race Course in Grantville. He was 20.Viewings will be held at the church from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 to 2 p,m, Thursday at the church.Farley rode primarily at Penn National but also had ridden at other tracks in the mid-Atlantic area. For his career, he won 141 races from 1,780 mounts for earnings of more than $2.8 million. At the time of his death, he was tied for 11th in the Penn standings with seven wins at a meet that began Jan. 3.
