Matt Dinerman, the current track announcer at Oaklawn Park in Arkansas, has been hired as the new track announcer at Monmouth Park in New Jersey, which opens its meet on May 11. Dinerman, 31, was the track announcer at Golden Gate Fields in California for six years prior to moving to Oaklawn Park last year. The Oaklawn Park and Monmouth Park meets do not currently overlap. “I’m delighted to be joining the team at Monmouth,” said Dinerman, in a Monmouth release. “It’s an honor to be selected as their next voice. Monmouth is a beautiful racetrack with a large, enthusiastic fan base that supports great racing.” Dinerman will replace Chris Griffin, who was named as the full-time track announcer at Monmouth prior to last year’s meet. The Monmouth Park meet runs through Sept. 15. Dinerman will also be the track announcer for the 10-day Monmouth-at-the Meadowlands meet, which typically takes place over several weeks in late September and early October, Monmouth said. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
