ALTOONA, Iowa – Colerful Bride took advantage of a spirited duel between the heavily favored M B Prize and Kera Kera when rallying past that pair for a three-length win in Friday night's $69,566 Bob Bryant, a six-furlong stakes for 3-year-old Iowa-bred fillies. Rating kindly for jockey Shane Laviolette behind a contested half-mile in 45.55 seconds, the Ray Tracy-trained Colerful Bride ($7.60), a Munnings filly, responded to her cue turning for home and quickly seized command. M B Prize, sent off at 2-5 after running second in the May 9 Mamie Eisenhower against her elders, held on to that position again, just three-quarters of a length in front of the deep-closing Jafmils Persuader. Collecting $41,740 for the Tracy family's Black Oak Farm, Colerful Bride won her Iowa-bred stakes debut in just her fourth start. She covered the six furlongs in 1:11.74.
