OLDSMAR, Fla. – Action Everyday figures to have an action-packed winter and spring as he tries to separate himself from the other 3-year-old Kentucky Derby prospects in the powerhouse stable of trainer Todd Pletcher. He will make his second start Friday at Tampa Bay Downs in the featured second race, a first-level $22,500 allowance at one mile and 40 yards. The race, which includes an optional $75,000 claiming condition, drew a field of six 3-year-olds, and Action Everyday will start from the rail under Jesus Castanon. Action Everyday was extremely impressive in his career debut, prompting the early pace and scoring by four lengths in a $20,000 maiden special weight race going seven furlongs here Dec. 23. Action Everyday, owned by St. Elias Stable, earned an 82 Beyer Speed Figure that stands out in Friday’s field. Since his debut, Action Everyday has turned in three workouts at Palm Beach Downs, including a sharp five furlongs in 1:00.80 on Jan. 14, the second-fastest of 20 works at the distance there that day.
