Three things you should know before betting on Blues-Penguins:

1. There aren't many teams in hockey that are playing as well as the Penguins, who have won each of their last eight games. The small pause in the season didn't seem to throw Pittsburgh off, as the team lit up the scoreboard in an 8-5 win over the San Jose Sharks on Sunday. Now, Sidney Crosby and Co. look to keep it rolling when they face the Blues for the first time since December 4, 2019. The Penguins won that game, 3-0, but this Blues team is also playing great hockey right now. They've won four of their last five games and they'll be a much tougher opponent than the Sharks. If Pittsburgh plays the same defense it did against San Jose, the team will be in trouble here.

2. The Blues are 26-14 when coming off a road win over the last three seasons, and they're also 30-18 when coming off a win over a division rival in that span. On top of that, the Penguins are just 3-8 when coming off eight or more wins in their last 10 games over the last three seasons. That means that Pittsburgh's streaks tend to hit a wall at this point. The Penguins are also 2-5 when coming off a game in which they allowed five or more goals this year.

3. Before going way Over the total in their last game, the Penguins had gone Under in three of their previous four. Meanwhile, the Under is 5-2 in the last seven games the Blues have played. The Under is also 16-6 when Pittsburgh is coming off a home blowout of three goals or more over the last three seasons. And in the last two years, the Under is 23-12 when the Blues are playing road games after giving up four or more goals in their previous game.
