Three things you should know before betting on Saints-Seahawks:

1. The 2-4 Seahawks face the 3-2 Saints after having lost four of their past five games with this past Sunday’s 23-20 overtime defeat in Pittsburgh. Since the start of the 2012 season, NFL teams with a win percentage of between 25% and 40% are 11-34-2 against the spread when not laying points at home against an opponent with a winning record. Such teams have been outscored by an average margin of 11.9 points despite the average line in those 47 games having been 5.6 points.

2. The Saints are 9-3 both straight-up and against the spread when coming off a bye since the start of the 2009 season with all but three of the 12 games having gone Over the total. The Over is 8-1-1 in games Seattle has played under head coach Pete Carroll as an underdog of between 3.5 and 7 points. The Over is 12-3 in games the Seahawks have played against NFC South opponents since the start of 2015, with Seattle having gone 5-9-1 against the spread in those 15 games.

3. Seattle has gone 2-10 against the spread in October home games since the start of the 2013 season, which includes an 0-4 against-the-spread mark in October home games since the start of the 2019 season. The Seahawks are, however, 10-6 straight up and 13-3 against the spread as a home underdog since the start of the 2011 season.
