Three things you need to know before betting on Ravens-Steelers:

1. The road squad has gotten the best of this head-to-head series in recent years, with the home team having gone 4-5 straight-up and 1-7-1 against the spread in games between the Ravens and Steelers over the past five calendar years. Baltimore is 4-3 straight-up and 5-0-2 against the spread over its past seven trips to Pittsburgh. This marks the fourth time in the past 10 years that the Ravens have been a road favorite against the Steelers—Baltimore was a 3-point favorite in each of the past instances, and the Ravens won all three games by exactly 3 points.

2. This has tended to be the time of year that Baltimore has stepped up its play in recent seasons, as quarterback Lamar Jackson is 13-1 straight-up and 11-3 against the spread in regular-season games played after the month of November. That includes records of 5-1 straight-up and 6-0 against the spread in road games, with the lone straight-up loss having been a 27-24 defeat as a 6.5-point underdog in Kansas City in Jackson’s second career road start in December 2018.

3. The Steelers are 6-9 straight-up and 5-10 against the spread in December games since the start of the 2018 season, and Pittsburgh is 3-9 against the spread in December home games dating back to Christmas 2016. Six of the Steelers’ past seven December home games have gone Under the total, with an average of 34.4 total points scored over those seven games.
