Three things you need to know before betting on Rams-Packers:

1. Aaron Rodgers has had his way with most NFL opponents since taking over as Green Bay’s starting quarterback in 2008, and the Rams are no exception. The Packers are 5-1 straight-up and 6-0 against the spread in games Rodgers has started vs. L.A., with the lone loss in that span having been Green Bay’s 29-27 defeat as a 7.5-point underdog in Southern California in 2018. The Rams, who improved to 8-0 on the season with the victory, scored what would turn out to be the game’s final points on a field goal with 2:05 remaining. Rodgers was stripped of a chance to lead Green Bay on a game-winning drive when Ty Montgomery fumbled the ensuing kickoff at the Green Bay 21. Los Angeles recovered and was able to run out the clock.

2. The most recent matchup between these teams resulted in a 32-18 Green Bay victory as a 9.5-point home favorite in the Divisional Round of the playoffs this past January. That improved the Packers’ home record to 3-0 both straight-up and against the spread when facing the Rams with Rodgers under center. Green Bay won each of the three games by double digits, and by an average margin of 16.3 points per game.

3. The Packers come into this one having won each of their past nine regular-season home games dating back to the middle of last November. They’ve been favored by fewer than 10 points in six of those nine games, and they’ve covered all six. Green Bay has double-digit victories in all six home games the team has played as a single-digit home underdog over the past calendar year, winning by an average margin of 16.2 points over those half-dozen games. Perhaps most compelling is the fact that Green Bay is 8-0 both straight-up and against the spread when coming off a loss under head coach Matt LaFleur.
