Three things you should know before betting on Patriots-Bills:

1. The road squad has gotten the best of this head-to-head series in recent years, with the home team having gone 5-9 straight-up and 2-10-2 against the spread in games between the Patriots and Bills since the start of the 2014 season. New England is 6-1 both straight-up and against the spread over its past seven trips to Buffalo, and the Patriots are 18-3 straight-up and 15-5-1 against the spread on the road against the Bills under head coach Bill Belichick.

2. New England was arguably the NFL’s most impressive team last month, going 4-0 both straight-up and against the spread in November while winning each game by 18 or more points and outscoring opponents by an average margin of 26 points per game. The Patriots’ defense allowed a total of 26 points over the four games, with half of those coming in New England’s 36-13 home victory over Tennessee this past Sunday. The Patriots are 26-3 straight-up and 22-6-1 against the spread under Belichick when coming off four straight games of allowing 17 points or fewer.

3. Prior to Buffalo’s 31-6 victory in New Orleans on Thanksgiving, the Bills had followed up each of their previous three victories with outright losses as a favorite: 34-31 as a 6-point favorite at Tennessee in mid-October, 9-6 as a 14.5-point favorite at Jacksonville early last month and 41-15 to Indianapolis as a 7-point home favorite four days prior to Thanksgiving. Buffalo last won back-to-back games over the first two weeks of October, at home against Houston and then at Kansas City.
