Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams (-1)
Sunday 9/25, 4:25 p.m. ET

Three things you need to know before betting on Buccaneers-Rams:

1. This is the third straight season in which the Buccaneers and Rams have faced each other, and it’s the fourth time they have met since the Rams’ move from St. Louis to Los Angeles prior to the start of the 2016 season. The home team has been favored by more than 3 points in each of the past three matchups between the teams, with the road team pulling off an upset all three times. That includes the only previous time Tampa Bay has faced the Rams in Los Angeles, which was the Bucs’ 55-40 victory as a 9-point road underdog in September 2019. Each of the past three games between these teams has gone Over the total, with an average of 71.7 total points having been scored over the three games.

2. The aforementioned 55-40 defeat the Rams suffered to the Buccaneers two Septembers ago is one of only two losses Los Angeles has suffered over the 13 games L.A. has played during the month of September since the start of the 2018 season. In addition to that 11-2 straight-up mark, the Rams are 9-3-1 against the spread over their past 13 September games.

3. The Buccaneers have been at their best since the start of last season in games that have been projected to be high-scoring. Including the postseason, they have played 10 games since the start of 2020 that have closed with an Over/Under higher than 51, and they have gone 9-1 both straight-up and against the spread in those games. The lone straight-up loss came on the final Sunday of last November, a 27-24 defeat as a 5-point home underdog to Kansas City. That’s the last time Tampa Bay has left the field without a victory.
